Catherine
Rousseau works as a visual artist and art educator in Cambridge, MA.
Catherine’s devotion to society, environment, history and art defines her work
as a community artist. She finds that by engaging people in the arts, she can
utilize her passions by helping communities define themselves as they develop
their own artistic and creative identities.
Catherine
graduated from Roger Williams University
in Bristol, RI in May of 2009. There, she double majored
in Visual Art, and Art and Architectural History. While at Roger Williams,
Catherine collaborated with faculty artists to produce installations for the

Catherine
also acted as a community activist while at Roger Williams, as a Resident Assistant
for the student campus. As a part of her responsibilities as an RA, Catherine
developed and implemented community programs that stretched across the
university.
Her
devotion to the arts and community led her to Cambridge,
MA where she studies at Lesley University
and is currently working towards her Masters in Community Art Education with a
specialization in Visual Art.
Currently,
Catherine also volunteers at the Museum
of Fine Arts, Boston,
Out of the Blue art gallery in Cambridge, MA, and will soon be the Resident Artist at the Peabody School
